Ukiah Valley Basin Groundwater Sustainability Agency Board Votes Unanimously to Adopt a Sustainability Plan

The Board of Directors of the Ukiah Valley Basin Groundwater Sustainability Agency (UVBGSA) held a public hearing at 6:00 PM, on December 15, 2021 to consider the adoption of a Groundwater Sustainability Plan (GSP) covering the Ukiah Valley Basin (DWR Bulletin 118, Groundwater Basin 1-52) under the Sustainable Groundwater Management Act (Water Code 10720-10737.8), where the Board voted unanimously to approve the resolution adopting the GSP.

The final draft of the GSP, as approved by the UVBGSA Board of Directors and to be submitted to the California Department of Water Resources by January 31, 2022, is available for download at https://www.mendocinocounty.org/government/affiliated-agencies/ukiah-valley-basin-gsa/groundwater-sustainability-plan. The boundary of the Ukiah Valley Basin is described in the groundwater sustainability plan and also can be found on the Department of Water Resources’ website at https://gis.water.ca.gov/app/bbat/
