19-Year-Old Sonoma County Man Sought Suspected of Stabbing Rideshare Driver in a “Random Act of Violence”, Says SCSO

Categories:

The following is a press release issued by the Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office. The information has not been proven in a court of law and any individuals described should be presumed innocent until proven guilty:

Tristan Mathew Hardin [Mughshot from SCSO]

On December 25 at about 6:00 p.m., a rideshare driver picked up a passenger in the 1700 block of Yulupa Avenue, Santa Rosa. The driver drove the passenger to the entrance of Shiloh Ranch Regional Park. Upon arrival, the passenger attacked the driver from the back seat. During a struggle, the suspect stabbed the victim twice in the neck and once on the elbow. The suspect then got out of the car and left the scene.

The victim drove himself to a local hospital and is expected to survive.

Violent Crimes detectives have been investigating this case since Saturday and identified the suspect as Tristan Mathew Hardin, 19, Santa Rosa (see attached photo). He is a white man, approximately 6’1” and 150 pounds with a thin build. He has longer dark brown hair, possibly with shaved sides, and green eyes. He was last seen wearing a black baseball cap, black surgical mask, dark pants, and possibly a red plaid jacket. While Hardin lives in Santa Rosa, he frequently visits Cloverdale, Healdsburg, and Windsor.

Violent Crimes detectives believe this was a random act of violence. If you see Hardin, call 911 and do not approach him. If you know where Hardin is located, call Dispatch at 707-565-2121.

  1. My heart definitely goes out to this ride share driver. Prayers for your recovery and ptsd. I’m glad you survived. Thank the Lord!

This kid is only 19 years old. I pray he’ll turn his life around now or God only knows what’s next and who his next victim will be. What ever could possess him to do such a thing?

Prayers for both the victim and the young perpetrator. Truly a horrific situation.

Somebody take him to the “real” Holy Ghost filled born again’s, he needs deliverance but he has to want to get free. The blood of Jesus Christ WILL set you free if you ask Him!
