Neighborhood Fracas in Covelo— Man Strikes Subject with Vehicle, Two Women Fighting, Twenty Subjects Gathered

In the last thirty minutes, a conflict swelled into a twenty-person brouhaha in a Covelo neighborhood near Little Lake Way .

Initially reported by dispatch as a man striking a subject with his truck around 1:18 p.m., minutes later dispatch reported two women were physically fighting in the street.

Law enforcement at the scene requested backup respond with lights and sirens as a crowd gathered of twenty individuals.

A male subject reportedly stepped in and pulled the women apart and by 1:33 p.m. law enforcement at the scene was reporting all parties had been separated and the crowd had dispersed.

From the tenor of law enforcement at the scene, the situation has de-escalated and they are on scene investigating the situation including the possibility of a hit and run with injuries.
