Ukiah Unified School District thanks the community for their support in making the new Ukiah High School (UHS) Soccer Field a reality and invites you to a celebration! On Saturday, January 8, 2022, Ukiah High School will celebrate the grand opening of the new all-weather field made possible by funds from Measure A.

Superintendent Deb Kubin commented, “I want to thank voters for making the new field possible by approving Measure A in the March 2020 election. I am so excited that our students and our community will get to experience soccer and athletics year-round. We’ve waited a long time for a field like this one and by working together we are able to make it a reality. The field will improve the physical health and well-being of our community for generations. Please join us on Saturday and watch our kids shine.”

UHS Soccer teams will host Rancho Cotate High School, beginning with JV Girls at 9:00 a.m. and JV Boys at 10:30 a.m.  There will be a short ceremony between the JV and Varsity games at noon. Girls Varsity begins at 12:15 p.m., and Boys Varsity starts at 2:15 p.m.

The Lion’s Club will host a pancake breakfast from 8:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the field located on the UHS Campus. A taco lunch will be available from 11:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. provided by Memo Zazueta at RGC Lending and realtor Josh Huff. Donations for food will support Ukiah High School Soccer.
