[UPDATE: One-Way-Traffic] Mendocino Coast’s State Route 1 Closed South of Caspar After Tree Blocks Both Lanes

Scanner traffic and the California Highway Patrol Traffic Incident Information indicate State Route 1, a primary artery of Mendocino County’s coastline, has been shut down south of Caspar due to a tree falling and blocking both lanes.

County Roads and other workers are responding to the scene to both display signage communicating the closure and work to clear the roadway.

UPDATE 2:19 p.m.: As of 1:55 p.m., one-way traffic control has been in effect as crews continue to clear the roadway.
