Press release from the Mendocino County Sheriff’s Office:
On 01-11-2022 at 10:06 AM the Mendocino County Sheriff’s Office Dispatch Center received a call regarding a suspicious situation near the intersection of Parducci Road and Christy Lane in Ukiah, California.
A passing motorist reported seeing an unresponsive person laying near the roadway which prompted the call to the dispatch center.
Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the area and located a deceased female adult who was subsequently identified as being Alyssa Mae Sawdey, a 22 year-old female from Ukiah, California.
Sheriff’s Detectives were summoned to the scene and began an investigation into the circumstances of Sawdey’s death.
On 01-12-2022 a forensic autopsy was conducted on Sawdey’s body and official results of that autopsy are pending BA/Toxicology analysis which are expected to take several weeks before the results are returned to the Sheriff’s Office.
At this time Sawdey’s death is considered suspicious in nature and the investigation into her death is ongoing at this time.
There is no further information available for public release, at this time due, to the ongoing investigation.

Well her booking sheet tells a lot, my condolences to her and her family.
This young lady cheered with my daughter she is not a bad person in a persons rap sheet says nothing about the way they died. I’m sure her parents would be heartbroken to read your comment. This young girl may have been a victim of human trafficking.
I’m sorry, but her activities very well may have played a role leading up to her unfortunate passing. The way we ALL act can have a profound impact on the outcome of our lives (Success/Failure).
Walter, why was it so important to point this out? She was someone’s daughter, someone’s grandchild, someone’s friend, yet you have to do this? They don’t want your phony “condolences”.

All of you on here saying well her record tells it all! Good mr. And Mrs. goody toshoes let me guess you are all perfect and have never done something wrong?? I’m so done with people and law enforcement assuming cause of their record they mean nothing. Well let me explain to all of you judge mental ass hats THEY DO MATTER! I am a mother of an adult child who I was told well she has a record and we will do our best for them to not take a missing persons report. My daughter stayed in touch with me every day and just because she lived a certain life style doesn’t mean she isn’t a person. ALL LIVES MATTER NO MATTER WHAT. So stop with your oh she this and she that. It may be your son daughter or grand child at some point. How would you like it then?? Take a minute to think about what I said so maybe next time you can have some compassion for all who are involved. This goes for law enforcement also!
Oh and by the way if they had listened to me they would have caught the murders before they murdered four more girls. But nope they were all to willing to judge first.
