The Alex Rorabaugh Recreation Center (ARRC) is planning for its 8th annual fundraiser auction. Like we did in 2021, the 2022 fundraiser will be a virtual “Bidding with the Stars” online auction and will be live from January 28 – 30, 2022. We are still in need of donations and sponsors to make the event a success and support ARRC programs!

THE STARS ARE YOU, OUR SUPPORTERS!

The proceeds from the event go towards supporting free community programs for kids and families at the Rec Center including Open ARRC on Friday and Saturday nights and Sunday afternoons. Open ARRC provides a safe and fun place for the community to come together and play basketball, soccer, ping pong, pool, board games and more. Funds raised at this event also support inclusive activities for those with disabilities like Special Olympics basketball; Cycle Without Limits bike camp for kids and adults ; ABC Day Program for adults; People First  Halloween Dance, and other free community events like workshops and documentary film screenings.

We are reaching out to you to request a tax-deductible donation of an item or service for the auction, or to be a sponsor of the event. Donors and sponsors will be featured prominently in all our promotional materials leading up to the event, including mailings, press releases, print and online advertisements, radio spots as well as on our website and Facebook page. Sponsor levels are as follows:

Exclusive Star – $5000
Gold – $2,500
Silver – $1,000
Bronze – $500

The ARRC is a nonprofit 501(c)3 community organization that is all about prevention and fun! Youth that engage in fitness activities and social connections such as those fostered at the ARRC are more resistant to alcohol and drug use, obesity, diabetes, and gang  violence. The ARRC partners with the Boys and Girls Club of Ukiah, daily recreation programs through the City of Ukiah and Grace Hudson Elementary. Hundreds of local children and those with disabilities come to the ARRC each year and we need YOUR help to keep making that happen.

You can also find much more about our facility and scholarship program at Ukiahrec.org.

Thank you for your consideration of our request.  We appreciate your support of safe and healthy recreation opportunities for Ukiah’s kids, and we hope to see you soon at the ARRC!

Sincerely,

Marvin Trotter, President, Alex Rorabaugh Recreation Center Board of Directors
