[UPDATE: Roadway Clear]Ford Mustang and Big Rig Collide on Highway 101 Stalling Northbound Traffic Near Ukiah

Scanner traffic and the California Highway Patrol Traffic Incident Information page indicate traffic on Highway 101 northbound in Ukiah is significantly impacted after a collision between a big rig and a red Ford Mustang.

As of 12:43 p.m., it was unknown if any injuries resulted from the collision. The Ford Mustang is reportedly in the center divider and the big rig is on the righthand side of Highway 101. Tow trucks have been requested to the scene.

The Caltrans Quickmap indicates traffic is heavily congested on the northbound lane of Highway 101 and the accident has even slowed traffic in the southbound lane. Alternative routes such as Ukiah’s State Street appear to be congested as drivers attempt to maneuver around the accident.

UPDATE 1:30 p.m. The Incident Commander told dispatch the roadway is now clear and the Caltrans Quickmap indicates the traffic congestion has diminished significantly. Information provided the CHP Traffic Incident Information page indicated that no injuries resulted from the collision.
