After going missing eleven days ago, a Mendocino Coast resident’s beloved dog Reese has returned home “in great shape” other than a few scratches, losing a few pounds, and picking up some hitchhiking ticks during the journey.

Reese was “found by a couple riding bikes on Big River Haul Road about three miles in.” The bikers called Reese’s owner Holly, who told us she began the hike to get Reese, and found “a pair of forest guys had come in and put her in their truck” giving the dog a ride out.

Since returning home, Holly said the pup has been “eating little meals and taking naps between them.” Holly wished that Reese could “tell me about her 11-day adventure.”

Appreciative of all the community’s support and sharing of Reese’s information, Holly said “we are lucky to get her back after the number of days she was missing.”
