About 6 p.m., two vehicles collided on Hwy 101 south of Willits about mile marker 41 near Black Bart Drive, according to the CHP Traffic Incident Information Page. One vehicle caught on fire and debris and the vehicles impeded traffic in two directions. A semi then struck one of the vehicles.

The southbound lanes were completely blocked after this, according to the CHP page. And traffic was diverted into the northbound lanes.

The CHP page reports one person had major injuries and was trapped. “A 2nd walking wounded” was also at scene, an officer reported to dispatch. “Unknown how bad at this time.”  The officer requested a second ambulance and a medevac if available.

As if 7:30 p.m., Caltrans QuickMap is still showing traffic moving slowly through the area.
