On February 19, 2022, at approximately 1552 hours, Ukiah CHP responded to a two-vehicle head-on collision, located on Albion Ridge Road west of Road H. During the investigation it was determined, Party #1 (P-1) was driving a 2010 Toyota Rav4 eastbound on Albion Ridge Road, at approximately 45 MPH. Party #2 (P-2) was driving a 2020 Honda Accord with three passengers, westbound on Albion Ridge Road, at approximately 30 MPH. For an unknown reason, P-1 crossed over solid double yellow lines in his vehicle (Toyota Rav4), directly in front of P-2 in his vehicle (Honda Accord). As a result, the front of the Toyota Rav4 collided with the front of the Honda Accord. As a result of the collision, P-1 sustained minor injuries, P-2 sustained moderate injuries, Passenger #1 sustained major injuries, Passenger #2 sustained major injuries, and Passenger #3 sustained fatal injuries. All involved parties were wearing a seatbelt at the time of the collision. Alcohol and/or drugs are not suspected to be a factor of this collision. The cause of this collision is still under investigation. Albion Ridge Road remained closed approximately three hours following the collision for investigation.
