A Rally in the Jackson Demonstration State Forest [Picture provided by the Mendocino Trail Stewards]

Michael Hunter and the Coalition to Save Jackson invite you to two important upcoming rallies on March 14th in Ukiah and March 25th in Sacramento. If you’re able to, please come out in support of Coyote Valley Tribe and the Save Jackson Coalition. Chairman Hunter plans to deliver thousands of signatures he’s collected calling for a moratorium on logging in Jackson State Forest at the Ukiah rally on the 14th, and we’re following it up with a rally at the West Capitol steps in Sacramento on the 25th. It’s time we increase the pressure on State legislators, and we need to make big showings at these upcoming rallies to show the State we mean business and are the majority. Both rallies will be attended by Native American dancers, environmental groups, and members of the public who support change on JDSF.  If you won’t be able to come, please share this announcement, tell your friends and family about it and consider donating to the Pomo Landback Go Fund Me.

Show up in person at:

  • Alex Thomas Plaza in Ukiah (directions), March 14, from 3 to 5 pm
  • The West Capitol Steps in Sacramento (directions), Friday March 25, from 1:00 to 4:00 pm

If you need a ride from Mendocino County, email mendocinotrailstewards@gmail.com

  1. Just sit right back and you’ll hear a tale
    About one lovely ship
    That ran into an iceberg
    Upon its maiden trip
    The lifeboats were quite lacking
Cause they did not feel the need
To clog the deck with ugly boats
    Try swimming yes indeed.
    Swimming yes indeed

    Science can make many rich
    When conflicts are resolved
    Just rid the oceans icebergs
    Our problems are now solved
    Problems are now solved
    With CO2
    And logging crews
    Them billionaires running rife
    While movie stares
    Sell ponzi schemes
    With a corporate smile

    meanwhile Gilligan’s Island is underwater.
