The following is a press release issued by the Santa Rosa Police Department. The information has not been proven in a court of law and any individuals described should be presumed innocent until proven guilty:
Detectives from the Santa Rosa Police Department’s Domestic Violence & Sexual Assault Unit continue to investigate the attempted kidnaping of a 12-year-old female on March 7, 2022. Detectives have conducted area canvasses and followed-up on leads they have received. Detectives have not yet been able to identify the suspect, but are now releasing a sketch of a possible suspect. The sketch is only a likeness, and it is being used to hopefully identify a suspect.
The suspect’s description: a white male adult in his late-40s or early-50s, 5’8” (approx.), thin build, balding with a beard. He was wearing a tan shirt with an unknown emblem on the left side of the chest and torn blue jeans. NEW: suspect has a gold hoop earring on the upper part of his left ear.
The suspect’s vehicle: an older black BMW, four-door sedan with no front license plate.
Anyone who witnessed the incident is encouraged to contact SRPD immediately at 707-528-5222. If you live in the neighborhood of Calistoga Road and Piedmont Drive and have surveillance cameras, please check footage from the morning of March 7th and see if you captured any useful images or videos. A reward of up to $2,500 is being offered by the Sonoma County Alliance Community Engagement and Safety Rewards Fund. The reward is for information leading to the arrest of the suspected kidnapper in this investigation.
