This morning at approximately 7:30 a.m. Covelo Fire was dispatched to an “unknown type” fire burning in the 22000 block of Refuse Road.
Scanner traffic indicated that when Covelo Fire personnel arrived the Incident Commander determined a structure was on fire and found a power line had fallen down as a result of the flames creating a “life/safety hazard”.
Around 8:10 a.m., the Incident Commander reported the fire was knocked down and would require approximately an hour and a half to mop up the scene.
