A traffic collision near the 1500 block of Main Street in Willits has left a Ford Explorer disabled in the roadway and three to four “walking wounded” patients.

The phrase “walking wounded” describes individuals that have experienced an injury, but are conscious, breathing, and able to walk. These sorts of patients are often considered low priority in a triage context.

Reports via the scanner indicate the airbags were deployed.

Images sent to us show the Ford Explorer suffering front-end damage and impeding northbound traffic.

Please remember that this story is unfolding. Information is being reported as we gather it. However, some of the information coming from witnesses and initial official reports could be wrong. We will do our best to get the facts but, in the case that something is inaccurate, we will update with correct information as soon as we can.
