In 95% of all emergencies, the victim or bystander provides the first immediate assistance to the scene. Would you know what to do?  In partnership with the County of Mendocino and the Office of Emergency Services, North Coast Opportunities’ Volunteer Network is offering free Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) trainings on April 30th in Ukiah and May 21 st in Caspar.

This day-long, hands-on training will equip participants with the knowledge and skills to help themselves, friends, and neighbors in the event of a disaster. CERT training is a fun and empowering way to learn about disaster preparedness and survival skills, rescuer safety, teamwork, fire safety and suppression, basic disaster medical operations, and light search and rescue.

Participants must complete an online certification before registering for the in-person trainings. To register for both the online course and the in-person training, visit, www.mendocert.com/training. Or call 707-462-1959 for more information.
