[UPDATE: Roadway Open] Vehicle on Fire Along State Route 20 Between Fort Bragg and Willits— Minor Injury

Scanner traffic beginning around 8:23 a.m. indicated a vehicle was on fire along State Route 20 between Fort Bragg and Willits. Specifically, the incident was reportedly located near Dunlap Campground.

Upon arrival at the scene, the Incident Commander reported the fire was “fully involved” and blocking the westbound lane.

The California Highway Patrol Traffic Incident Information Page indicated a party experienced minor injuries as a result of the flames.

UPDATE 9:01 a.m.: State Route 20 will be blocked for the next 20-30 minutes as crews extinguish the fire and remove it from the roadway.

UPDATE 10:29 p.m.: State Route 20 has reopened to thru-traffic.
