Information is preliminary at this point, but scanner traffic beginning around 7:13 p.m indicated law enforcement was requested to respond to the 25000 block of Madrone Drive in the Regina Heights neighborhood east of Ukiah Brooktrails regarding a reported domestic incident that resulted in a man striking another party’s vehicle with a bat.

The suspect allegedly drove away from the scene in a two-tone Honda Element.

A responding officer asked if the suspect had rammed another vehicle with his and the dispatcher clarified that the reports indicate he had used a baseball to strike another vehicle only.

UPDATE 9:28 p.m.: One of the involved parties contacted us and allowed us to correct the record and represent facts more accurately.

Firstly, they informed us that the incident occurred on Madrone Drive in Brooktrails, not in Rogina Heights.

Secondly, we learned that the incident was not a result of a domestic dispute, but was reported by a third party that way.

Thirdly, we learned via multiple commenters that even though multiple online maps and real estate listings spell the area as “Regina Heights”, it is actually spelled “Rogina Heights”.

Lastly, we are editing the title of the article and the content to reflect the accurate location of the incident. Apologies for the confusion. For the record, the article was originally titled, “Domestic Dispute in Regina Heights Results in Man Striking Vehicle with Baseball Bat— Police Responding”

Please remember that this story is unfolding. Information is being reported as we gather it. However, some of the information coming from witnesses and initial official reports could be wrong. We will do our best to get the facts but, in the case that something is inaccurate, we will update with correct information as soon as we can.

    • Hey Sabrina-
I apologize for misrepresenting the information regarding the incident this evening. Thank you for commenting and helping correct the record. I am going to be correcting the information in the article.

As to recommendations, I’d recommend Farmer Brothers in Ukiah or Advanced Collision Repair.

  2. Okay so let me get this straight there’s a man with a baseball bat in Brook trails then what? I understand there was a mistake made on the location does that mean now there’s no story? Obviously we know the information was not correct including the domestic violence part so please now explain the situation at hand. Because I live alone and a man with baseball bat could be a scary thing especially in Brook trails.

  3. This is an EXCELLENT example of believing ANYTHING you read nowadays. I know this to be true from personal experience. If you haven’t spoken to ALL parties involved, you haven’t gotten the true version of a story. Think about that. And I’m talking about firsthand parties. Never mind the “reporters”. You can’t accurately report what you don’t know. No offense Matt, I’m not aiming at you. I’m saying as readers we shouldn’t believe anything we read unless we have done some investigative journalism which would include receiving statements from all first-hand parties involved AND witnesses. And I mean ALL parties. Never believe one side of anything! This is what I have found to be true in my own personal life experience. And that is why I get so frustrated when I read “the news”, the “police reports”, or hear people “telling” (gossiping) about something!

    • Local- No offense taken. You speak to the unavoidable realities of breaking news events and the publication of press releases. The information is derived from singular sources, and specifically with breaking news events, is extremely fluid and subject to revision based on evolving circumstances. That being said, information that is late-breaking often needs told. So there is a pros and cons to that form of reporting.

      • Whats really bad is when kym kemp. Wont post your comments nevus she has opposing views. The very thing we all are losing freedom of speech. Wait til its her that gets shadow banned
