The Hog Farm Hideaway, presented by Shooting Star Events, will make its long-awaited debut at the iconic Black Oak Ranch in Laytonville, CA, June 10-12, 2022. The much-anticipated festival features three nights of performances by one of America’s most well-loved independent bands,  The String Cheese Incident, plus a huge lineup that includes The Infamous Stringdusters, Galactic, Pigeons Playing Ping Pong, Keller Williams, Fruition, Pimps of Joytime, Ghost Light w/Nicki Bluhm, and many more. 

About the Hog Farm Hideaway: A three-day, family-friendly music festival featuring three nights of performances by The String Cheese Incident. Held at the iconic Black Oak Ranch in  Laytonville, CA, the festival will play host to an impressive lineup of artists across three stages.  Patrons will also enjoy interactive art installations, an eclectic assortment of food vendors, a bar featuring craft beers, wines, and adult libations, a cannabis club featuring locally produced products, a kid’s zone with entertainment and activities, a silent disco, an activist area where non-profit organizations will showcase their work, a healing sanctuary offering various modalities to restore wellbeing, and more! 

About the Black Oak Ranch: Black Oak Ranch provides a majestic space for the festival experience. Set in beautiful oak woodlands, meadows and a year-round creek, the ranch is a  perfect location to gather with friends and family. Black Oak Ranch is home to The Hog Farm, one of the oldest, continuously running communes in the United States. The Hog Farm has a long history of producing and participating in iconic music festivals and events, most notably the original Woodstock Music Festival in 1969. In more recent years, The Hog Farm co-produced Electric on the Eel and The Pignic and hosted Earthdance, The Kate Wolf Music  Festival and Enchanted Forest Gathering. 

The String Cheese Incident is one of the most popular acts on the rock-oriented jam band circuit. A large part of the String Cheese Incident’s appeal rests in their musical versatility and penchant for performing lengthy, psychedelic jams. Defying easy categorization, The String  Cheese Incident blends elements of rock, bluegrass, country, soul, funk, Latin, reggae, calypso,  jazz, fusion, and everything in between. Born in 1993 in Colorado’s Rocky Mountains, SCI has since released 10 albums, 6 DVDs and countless live recordings from their relentless tour schedule. Their 25-year history is packed full of surreal experiences, epic moments,  groundbreaking involvement and huge accomplishments. They have been recognized for their commitment to musical creativity and integrity, for their community spirit, philanthropic endeavors, and for their innovative approach to the business of music.
