Adventist Health in Mendocino County and the City of Fort Bragg are pleased to announce that a joint submission for a grant to help improve Bainbridge Park has been selected as a finalist in the State Farm Neighborhood Assist program. Winners will be determined by popular vote following an online voting period from April 27-May 6.
If our entry is among the final 100 proposals receiving the highest number of online votes, the $25,000 grant will cover a portion of installation costs for two artificial turf soccer fields. The soccer fields are part of a larger, city-led project to improve Bainbridge Park, the only public playground in the city.

“Adventist Health is excited to partner with the City of Fort Bragg to help build a healthier community, and we’re thrilled to be a finalist in the National State Farm Neighborhood Assist program,” said Judy Leach, Administrator of Adventist Health Mendocino Coast. “These funds for new additions to Bainbridge Park will provide an opportunity for families to enjoy the great outdoors and exercise together—which helps us all live better longer.
The Bainbridge Park renovation project is hoped to create a sense of community where each member can take ownership in helping to create a safe, family-friendly space that encourage everyone to move naturally.
