Missing Mendocino County Teens Have Been Found and Reunited with Family

Categories:

Two Mendocino County 13-year-olds from the coastal town of Point Arena have been located and reunited with family four days after running away, according to a post on the Mendocino County Sheriff’s Office Facebook page.

The pair were reportedly found after they were sighted in Cupertino, California, 170 miles from where they started.

Mariah Kinsman and Legend Finds the Feather fled Point Arena Elementary last Thursday morning, April 28, 2022, and took a Mendocino Transit Authority bus south.

Between then and now, as per numerous conversations with Legend’s mother Jeanette, there had been no contact with them and the only way the teens’ movements were tracked was by combing through surveillance footage of transit systems in and around the Bay Area.

    • The PI worked for donations. And the most help was done by both families working together to determine possible routes and destinations. At the expense of everyones jobs and daily lives, our families worked day and night. We were lucky to have entrepreneurs on both sidea and know a wide range of individuals to help increase the amount of eyes out there. We know our children better than anyone. BUT!! Without the help of good old technology, with again, the goodness of the technicians heart, we were able to use location to find a generalized location.
We owe everyone for their generosity and concern for our children ❤️

  1. LET’s hope a Go Fund Me can be started for these two and some of their best friends, to send them all to Disneyland for a few weeks…

PI then sent out the alerts to local businesses and alerted a cool Starbucks employee who made them feel comfortable enough to stay put while help arrived.
