
Scanner traffic starting around 7:45 p.m. indicates a high-angle rope rescue is being deployed after a woman was located approximately forty feet down a cliff near Sea Ranch in Sonoma County.
Units are already on scene setting up the rope rescue. The United States Coast Guard has been requested. Units from Mendocino County are also reportedly on the way.
A Coast Guard helicopter has been requested because the CHP helicopter initially dispatched will not be able to hoist after dark.

UPDATE 8:51 p.m.: Despite rescue attempts, the woman has succumbed to injuries that resulted from the incident.
