Telephone and Internet Services Coming Back Online Throughout Mendocino County

After crews from AT&T worked throughout the night, local leaders and social media users reported that internet and telephone services disrupted yesterday morning had been restored.

5th District Supervisor Ted Williams tweeted yesterday and throughout the night providing updates on AT&T’s progress. He told constituents California State Senator Mike McGuire was instrumental in deploying AT&T personnel that reconnected residents in the county’s far-flung corners including from Fort Bragg to Rockport to Covelo.

Williams expressed concern that with access to 911 affected by the outage “I am worried about potential suffering we’ll only discover post-restoration.”

Supervisor William had this to say about the supports that emerged to reconnect Mendocino County: “Solid crews, but we deserve a more robust response.”
