The following is a press release issued by the Lake County Sheriff’s Office. The information has not been proven in a court of law and any individuals described should be presumed innocent until proven guilty:
On June 7th, 2022, at approximately 12:30 AM, Lake County Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to the Rainbow Road area of Cobb Mountain for a report of a female who had been shot. Deputies contacted the victim who had sustained a non-life threatening gunshot wound. The victim was able to provide the location of the incident and the identity of the person who shot her. The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
Major Crimes Detectives served a search warrant with the assistance of the Sheriff’s Crisis Response Unit at a residence on Rainbow Road in Cobb. The suspect, Hunter Christian Toles, 23, of Cobb was taken into custody without incident for violations of attempted murder and assault with a deadly weapon.
Detectives are continuing the investigation and anyone with information related to this incident is asked to contact Detective Nate Newton at 707-262-4236.

I watched my little brother get arrested over a video call it’s a hard thing to watch to sheriffs have my brother lay on the ground with rifles aimed at him. Idk if anyone ever considers anyone’s past and what people go through I don’t know if anyone realizes what our family has gone through my father committed suicide when Hunter was only 10 years old my brother heard my dad shoot himself in the fucking head over the phone and people want to sit here and treat my family like this it is fucking straight bullshit and I’m not going to sit here and let people talk about my family when they don’t know all the details and they’re not the ones involved they’re not the ones struggling with this so they should probably just keep their mouth shut because it’s really hurtful. I’m sorry you were traumatized by your brothers arrest. I have been through the exact same thing, watching my dad get kicked to the ground and have a rifle directly into his back. I feel for YOU but defending your brother like this will only make the problems your family will go through worse. You’re lucky she’s alive too. My uncle wasn’t so lucky when he got shot by my step grandpa. And the crap my family went through was horrible. You have to see what he did wrong, and if it was your brother who had been shot? Wouldn’t you want the person who shot him to pay for what they did? Think about her and her family WHILE you’re thinking about your own not after.
