Scanner traffic beginning around 3:18 p.m. indicates that a wildfire is burning in the hills northwest of Hopland near the intersection of Bus McGall Road and Valley View Drive.

A full wildland fire response is underway after an aircraft spotted the fire which they are describing as approximately one acre in size burning in grass and oak woodland. A helicopter and two air tankers have also been requested to respond.

The Incident Commander reported that power lines are down in the area and there are additional reports the fire is spotting across a roadway in the area.
