Rollover crash north of Reynolds exit in Piercy [Photo by Aaron Bernstein]
The CHP Traffic Incident Information page is listing a single vehicle accident occurred near Piercy, just north of Reynolds exit on Highway 101 a little after 6:30 p.m. this evening. A single male occupant was reported to be out of the vehicle and appeared to have a head injury. An ambulance has been requested.
The CHP log stated that occupant fled on foot into the woods. A bystander told us that CHP personnel are actively searching for the driver.

The vehicle, described as silver/gold, is believed to have rolled over but is now on its wheels and partially blocking the roadway. According to the CHP log, the vehicle has white smoke coming from it. A tow truck is enroute from Miranda. It is unknown at this time what caused the roll-over accident.
Update 7:38 p.m.: A Piercy resident told us that CHP came to his residence searching for the driver that fled on foot from the accident. He was told to make sure his vehicles were locked up and to be on the look-out for the injured driver.
Piercy Volunteer Fire Department Chief, Patrick Landergen told us, “No occupants were found in [the] vehicle[.] We did a search along the roadway with nothing found as well. Cause and condition of the [c]ollision is under investigation by CHP.”
