Adventist Health Mendocino Coast and the City of Fort Bragg are pleased to announce that Bainbridge Park has been selected as a winner in the State Farm Neighborhood Assist program. The $25,000 grant will be used to help install two artificial turf soccer fields.

“This project benefits the health and well-being of our vibrant community,” said Judy Leach, President of Adventist Health Mendocino Coast. “We are grateful for the partnership with the City of Fort Bragg and thank the community for casting their support for this project which creates healthy spaces for families to gather and play.”

Winners in the State Farm Neighborhood Assist program were selected by the public during an online voting period in May. The planned soccer fields are part of a larger, city-led project to improve Bainbridge Park, the only public playground in the city.

“Seeing this program selected as a winner is both humbling and awesome,” said Bernie Norvell, Mayor of Fort Bragg. “We’re thankful to Adventist Health’s commitment to our community’s well-being, and I’m super proud of our city and all the coastal communities for helping to make this happen.”
