Sherwood Road Blocked After Head-on Collision

Scanner traffic and the California Highway Patrol Traffic Incident Information page indicate two vehicles have collided head-on approximately one mile up Sherwood Road, the main thoroughfare between Brooktrails and Willits.

At 9:41 a.m., the Incident Commander arrived on the scene and reported the roadway is blocked in both directions near the 25000 block of Sherwood Road.

One patient has minor injuries and northbound traffic controls are actively being established.

The collision was initially reported at 9:28 a.m. and was heard, not witnessed by the reporting party who estimated the location.


UPDATE 9:51 a.m.: Three total parties involved in the collision have either declined or refused medical care.


UPDATE 12:01 p.m.: The Incident has been terminated and the roadway is clear.
