[UPDATES]Wildfire Burning South of Mendocino Near the Brewery Gulch Inn

Scanner traffic beginning at 6:18 p.m. indicated a wildfire is burning near the 9000 block of Highway 1 just south of the Brewery Gulch Inn.

A power line is reportedly down in the area and the vegetation fire currently stands at less than an acre.

A full wildland fire response has been dispatched including air attack and ground crews.


UPDATE 6:34 p.m.: Four firefighting aircraft are currently either at the fire or en route.

UPDATE 6:45 p.m.: Two of the firefighting aircraft are making their way back to the Ukiah airbase.

UPDATE 6:54 p.m.: The Incident Commander reported that the fire is approximately 100’x100′ in size and a helicopter along with ground crews has successfully made a line around the fire.
