If you know anyone traveling north from the Bay Area this morning, recommend they avoid Highway 101. Major delays are expected after a semi-truck ended up on its side in the middle of Highway 101’s northbound lane near the Sonoma and Marin County line.

An alternative route around the accident would include cutting east on State Route 37, then taking Lakeville Highway to connect with State Route 116.

The Caltrans Quickmap indicates the delays are expected to at least 11:30 a.m.

UPDATE 11:34 p.m.: Highway 101 is now cleared and traffic is flowing smoothly.
