[UPDATE: Forward Progress Stopped] Vehicle Fire Spreads Into Vegetation Southwest of Middletown

What began as a vehicle fire has grown into a one to two-acre vegetation fire southwest of Middletown on the Lake/Sonoma County line located along Western Mine Road

Scanner traffic beginning around 3:33 p.m. indicated that a vegetation fire was burning in the hills southwest of Middletown in Lake.

Full wildland fire resources were deployed including ground and air resources. Initial reports from the scene indicated the fire is a half-acre in size, burning in timber, and growing at a slow rate of spread.


UPDATE 4:13 p.m.: The Incident Commander reported the fire’s forward progress has been stopped.
