Single Vehicle Drives Off Ukiah’s Low Gap Road and Ends Up 200′ Down a Ravine

Scanner traffic and the California Highway Patrol Traffic Incident Information page indicate first responders are on the scene of a traffic collision on Ukiah’s Low Gap Road after a single vehicle drove off the roadway and ended up 200′ feet below in a creek bed.

Initial reports came in at about 1:15 p.m. Once on scene, The Incident Commander reported that two parties were able to self-extricate and climb up the hill. They will be working to establish a rope rescue system to search for others.


UPDATE 1:47 p.m.: There are a total of four patients, all with minor injuries.
