[UPDATE: Rescue Sucessful]Woman Injures Leg After Mountain Bike Fall East of Caspar—Medical Rescue Underway

Scanner traffic and the California Highway Patrol Traffic Incident Information page indicate that first responders are en route to a location east of Caspar to conduct a medical rescue for a woman who fell while riding her mountain bike.

The woman reportedly crashed her bike 500′ from Road 600 injuring her leg to the point where she cannot walk out on her own.

First responders are bringing along an all-terrain vehicle to transport the woman to medical care.


UPDATE 7:16 p.m.: The CHP Traffic Incident Information Page indicates that after having to track down a key to open a forest road gate, first responders were able to locate the woman, stabilize her for transport, and now she is on the way to the coast hospital.
