[UPDATE: Reopened]Road Closure Near Ukiah After Logging Truck Incident on Highway 101 Offramp

Scanner traffic and the California Highway Patrol Traffic Incident Information page indicate a logging truck incident has blocked the northbound Highway 101 offramp to State Route 253 south of Ukiah.

California Highway Patrol officers are considering shutting down the #1 lane of the Highway and crews are attempting to clean up the roadway.


UPDATE 6:37 p.m.: The Caltrans District 1 Facebook page announced the affected roadways have reopened.

  1. looks like the reach broke letting the dolly go into the other lane and flip. the owners of this truck are very responsible and keep their equipment in top shape. truck looks about to be crossing the overpass bridge to the northbound lanes

  2. Looks to me as if he cut the corner a bit and the rear of the trailer rode up on the guard rail and dumped. Also the red dot on the map is not where the accident was as it was as it was up to the left of the green #546 on the map.

    • Reach broke at the reach tunnel….hey Sheldon don’t comment on things you don’t know! If he cut the corner, the would be a flat tire with a bent rim! Also the corner is like 300 yards behind him….also that company is one of the best..
