Multiple resources are pouring into two suspected arson fires growing south of Clear Lake near Borax Lake. The two were first reported about 5:25 p.m. One fire is approximately one acre and the other is approximately two acres, according to emergency personnel with their eyes on the fire.

The fires are reported to be spreading slowly. However, they are in areas that are difficult to access which will make fighting the incident difficult.

“At this time there is no threat to structures on the southernmost fire,” reported the first emergency personnel on scene.

“We’ll be closing the road at North Drive,” the Incident Commander told dispatch.

According to scanner traffic, emergency personnel suspect arson in the start of these two fires.
