[UPDATE 1:50 p.m.] RV on Fire Near Valley Oaks Trailer Park East of Willits

A fire broke out in an RV near the Valley Oaks Mobil Home park in the 2100 block of Valley Road on the outskirts of Willits about 1:30 p.m. The first reports said that two structures and one vehicle were threatened. However, later reports are sounding good.

“Looks like they are doing a good job keeping it to the structure,” one emergency personnel reported over the scanner. He added that there was very little spread to the vegetation.

UPDATE 1:47 p.m.: According to the Incident Commander speaking over the scanner, the fire is contained.

UPDATE 1:50 p.m.: “I made contact with the homeowner,” the Incident Commander relayed over the scanner. He told dispatch that no one was in the structure and no one was injured.

  1. Thanks to all who responded that day, and thanks to the firefighters for burying my 15yr old Bengal cat Echo, who perished in the fire. I appreciate all that you do.
