Scanner traffic indicates that a full wildland fire response was deployed around 4:35 p.m. after a grassfire flared up in the area of Oak Knoll Road and Fircrest Drive just south of the Ukiah city limits. By 4:45 p.m., the fire had been knockdown and units were being released.

There was reportedly a large spot fire on the top of Oak Knoll Road and the Incident Commander predicted they could quickly tamp the flames.

Resources staged at the base of Oak Knoll Road and air resources are taking a quick overview of the incident before returning to their airbase.
