Patriot Day: First Responders Honored at the Forks Market with a Free Barbecue Lunch

[All photographs of Patriot Day taken by Peter Armstrong]

Yesterday afternoon, as the United States remembered the most devastating terrorist attack in our nation’s history, Mendocino County’s first responders gathered at Forks Ranch Market where they were provided a free barbecue lunch.

Patriot Day, sponsored by several local business and law enforcement organizations, brought Big Earl’s BBQ to feed local police, firefighters, EMTs, and military personnel.

Peter Armstrong, one of our freelance photographers, was there and captured the men and women tasked with some of the toughest jobs taking a load off and getting some well-earned R&R.
