An assault reportedly occurred near the intersection of Ukiah’s Talmage Road and Airport Park Boulevard around 9:04 p.m.

The dispatcher relayed to officers that multiple callers indicated a man was beating another with a crowbar at the entrance to Quick Stop, a gas station on that corner.

The suspect was a Hispanic male adult with a long white beard and red shirt who was reportedly last seen near the intersection on a bike. The victim reportedly fled the scene in the direction of Jack in the Box/Walmart.

  1. Will they ever pour money into theTalmage intersections? All that money spent revamping between Gobbi and Perkins and not so much as a potted plant for corner of Talmage and State street. Talmage is a MAJOR thoroughfare, everyone knows about cutting through Babcock where car accidents are increasing, robberies, transient crimes, arson fires seem to collect on this side of town. The change in scenery that happens on State while driving between Gobbi and Talmage is breathtaking. Now the big blue box building of ”cookies” greets anyone entering Ukiah from Talmage. It’s a shame that Talmage and State intersection cant get fixed up. Jalos, Marinos, Mutt Hutt, Bottleshop, all survived covid, continue to survive the homeless/mental health epidemic and continue to serve Ukiah with no help/love for the West Talmage hub.

    • You are so correct. The blight at that end of town is getting really bad. It almost makes people not want to go any farther or leave their cars unattended. The north end of ukiah by raley’s and heading south needs some help also. I wonder if they will ever do anything or is it cause of the court house they want it to look nice.
