Information is limited at this point, but earlier today a cyclist riding an electric bike was struck by a vehicle on Ukiah’s Airport Park Boulevard. The incident resulted in injuries that required the rider to be airlifted to a Santa Rosa trauma center.

Ukiah Valley Fire Authority Battalion Chief Eric Singleton told us the incident occurred around 11:32 a.m. today “adjacent to the US Cellular Building” on the 1200 block of Airport Park Boulevard.

Firefighters arrived on the scene in a medical capacity and found the rider “lying in the roadway.”

Battalion Chief Singleton told us the patient was “talking to us when we transferred care to the helicopter” and he now awaits an update from the trauma center as to the patient’s condition.

We will follow up when more information becomes available.
