Scanner traffic and the California Highway Patrol Traffic Incident Information Page indicate the northbound lane of Potter Valley Road is blocked after a traffic accident resulted in a truck overturned in the roadway. One patient suffered mild/moderate injuries.

This incident occurred near the intersection of Potter Valley Road and State Route 20

Initial reports indicated one of the vehicles was on fire but emergency personnel did not find any active fires upon arriving at the scene.

The initial dispatch regarding the incident described a truck spinning out, hitting rocks near the roadway, flipping over, and coming to rest in the northbound lane.

The Incident Commander has requested both county road personnel and Caltrans sand the roadways due to accrued ice.

It is unclear whether this accident involved one or two vehicles. Scanner traffic has referred to it as both a one and two-vehicle collision.
