The Deep Valley Arts Collective invites you to an upcoming community art exhibition: Storytelling at MEDIUM Art Gallery in Ukiah.

Once upon a time, humanity relied on visual imagery to tell stories. We continue to develop our various forms of communication and use many mediums to share our stories – pottery, song, dance, painting, photography, poetry, and more. Artists are invited to submit artwork that is their interpretation of storytelling. Whatever form the art may take, let it tell the viewer a story.

Opening Reception:

First Friday Art Walk: Friday, January 6, 2022, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Music, beer and snacks will be available.

Community Storytelling Project:

Community members are invited to write an answer to the prompt “What is your story?” by creating an anonymous piece of writing to add to the wall to share.

Redacted Poetry Making:

Create a poem from book pages. Supplies provided.

Come support the arts in our community!

  • Opening Reception Friday, January 6, 2022, 5:00 – 8:00 p.m.
  • The show will run through Sunday, February 19th.
  • Gallery hours are Friday 12-8 p.m., Saturday 12-6 p.m., and Sunday 12-4 p.m.

MEDIUM Art Gallery is located inside the Pear Tree Center in Ukiah at 522 E. Perkins Street, next to Rod’s Shoes.
