Highway 101 Closed in Northern Mendocino After Winter Conditions Leaves 75-200 Vehicles Stuck

Caltrans closed Hwy 101 in Mendocino County from Rattlesnake Creek Bridge to Reynolds Highway due to spinouts and snow on the roadway, according to Manny Machado, Caltrans Public Information Officer for the area. There is no estimated time of reopening.

The CHP Traffic Incident Information Page reports there could be as many as 75-200 vehicles stuck including multiple semi-trucks.

Please avoid traveling if possible. Check Caltrans QuickMap for the latest in highway conditions.
