As it prepares for the upcoming 2023/24 school year, St. Mary’s School is pleased to announce the hiring of a teacher for its new TK program. Isabella Anzilotti will join the school faculty in August to lead the initial cohort of TK students.

Ms. Anzilotti was herself a student at St. Mary’s, and she returns to the campus after graduating in May 2022 from California State University, Fullerton with a bachelor’s degree in public health and a minor in child/adolescent development. During her time in Fullerton, she had the privilege of working at the university’s Children’s Center, guiding students from ages 2-5. It was there that she cemented her love for early childhood education. She has a passion for helping children reach their fullest potential and enjoys challenging students to be curious and take chances when learning.

“Ms. Anzilotti is a tremendous addition to our staff, and I’m thrilled that she will help lead our youngest students,” says Andrew Soria, St. Mary’s principal. “I’m confident that she has the knowledge and passion to continue our school’s legacy of providing a virtue-based education that forms the whole child, mind, body, and soul.”

To learn more about Ms. Anzilotti or to inquire about admissions in St. Mary’s TK program, please call 707-462-3888 or visit www.stmarysukiah.org. Children need to turn 4 by October 15, 2023 to qualify for the school’s TK.

  1. I must admit I was slightly triggered over the term “transitional”, as it relates to school and child/adolescent development curriculum. Reading the article put my mind at ease.

  2. How sad that people are not ashamed to admit their ignorance. Transitional Kindergarten has been around for quite some time. Certainly not as long as fear, ignorance and bigotry.
