Periódico Al Punto is organizing the 8th annual Día del Niño/Day of the Child celebration in Ukiah. The Day of the Child is celebrated as a tribute to children in some Latin American countries on April 30th.

“This is the eighth year we have hosted this event in Ukiah and based on past events; we expect more than 500 people to show up. Día del Niño is a unique event as it is focused on the children. There are outdoor activities for the children and their families. We want to promote more outdoor events where people can spend more time off the screens” says Jackie Orozco, organizer and Co-owner of Periódico Al Punto. There will be prizes, free raffles, games, face painting, music, a clown, activities and much more.

The event is this Sunday, April 30, 2023, at the Alex Thomas Plaza, located at 310 S. State Street in Ukiah from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m.

The Al Punto newspaper collaborates with Vecinos en Accion (UVA) in organizing this event for children and their families. Along with Día del Niño, UVA is organizing a Health & Emergency Preparedness Event.

This is an alcohol and smoke-free event. Bring a chair. Everyone is welcome!
