A motorcycle crash near Hopland has reportedly resulted in major injuries prompting requests for an air ambulance.
The Incident Commander characterized the injuries as “critical” and requested an air ambulance land at the scene.
Initial reports of the crash emerged around 4:52 p.m. after a motorcyclist crashed off of Old River River near mile marker 1.75 just south of the Fetzer Winery.
Upon arrival, first responders said the rider had suffered major injuries and requested an air ambulance. Reports from the scene said Old River is closed due to being filled with a large number of emergency responders.
UPDATE 5:18 p.m.: The Incident Commander relayed to dispatch that the air ambulance has landed at the scene safely.
UPDATE 5: 50 p.m.: The patient has been successfully loaded into the air ambulance bound for Santa Rosa Memorial Hosptial.

I cant believe this waz over 1yr ago already ,i was the crash victim in this story when all was said and done i had broke my right knee left ankle shattered my right shoulder blade and had it replaced with titanium plate my left arm has a titanium rod now and a titanium plate in my forehead 8 broken ribs one collapsed lung and one punctured lung waz supposed to be in santa rosa hospital for 2.5 to 3 months but was home 8 days later i have full movement of all my limbs slightly limited mobility of right arm but overall my recovery was rapid and painful due to the lack of any types of pain medication to the first responders thNk you all very much for saving me and keep up your good work for our local dumbasses like myself with out you guys population control is a real thing
