Bus Collides With Truck Blocking Ukiah’s Main Drag

This afternoon a Mendocino Transit Authority bus collided with a truck at a busy intersection in Ukiah. Thankfully, no injuries were reported.

Scanner traffic beginning around 12:45 indicated a the intersection of North State Street and West Perkins Street was blocked due to a collision involving a bus and a pickup truck. A tow truck was dispatched to the scene.

Initial reports indicated four patients declined medical care after first responders arrived at the scene.

We have requested more information from Ukiah Police about the incident and will update the article when they get back to us.

    • Their was no flashing light. I was one of the 2 passengers on board. The dude in the black Silverado ran a red light. Upon collision the other older gentleman was slung forward and was transported to the hospital

      • I was eating at Leftcoast Seafood, when I heard the collision I turned to the look and the light was red for the bus. Interesting if both had red lights yet both vehicles were moving.

      • I was making fun of state streets new traffic rules of making a left turn against traffic, definitely not makimg fun of the drivers.

  1. Those lights are horrible! Every time I have to go that way, I witness almost accidents. They aren’t timed right. I’ve been using backroads just to avoid that entire mess over there.
