[UPDATE 5:11 p.m.]Wildfire Ignites Southeast of Cloverdale

A vegetation fire has ignited in the hills southeast of Cloverdale prompting a multi-agency attack this afternoon.

Scanner traffic beginning around 4:58 p.m. indicates the fire began near the 26000 block of River Road.

CALFIRE personnel from Mendocino County have been asked to assist including ground and air resources.

UPDATE 5:10 p.m.: Air resources are reporting the fire is north of Alden Ranch and has burned approximately one acre of brush. It is moving downhill at a slow rate of spread being pushed by a west wind.
