A sedan crashed into a creek east of Boonville this morning resulting in a head injury.

Scanner traffic and the California Highway Patrol Traffic Incident Information Page indicate the single-vehicle collision occurred around 6:08 a.m. on State Route 253 east of its intersection with State Route 128.

When units got on scene, they located a sedan that had descended an embankment along the roadway and crashed into a creek resulting in a head injury. The patient was transported to a nearby hospital by a privately owned vehicle.

As of 6:34 a.m., more resources are converging on the area to ensure there are no more patients in the vehicle.
