Off-Roading Accident on Cow Mountain Kills Rohnert Park Man

The following is a press release issued by the California Highway Patrol. The information has not been proven in a court of law and any individuals described should be presumed innocent until proven guilty:

On 07/01/2023 at approximately 0718 hours, Officer Hanson responded to a vehicle roll over, a Jeep Wrangler, on the Cow Mountain OHV area bordering Mendocino County (Scotts Creek Road west of Panther Ridge Road).  5 parties were in the Wrangler when it left the roadway and overturned several times ejecting the driver (Ramirez) and several passengers.  The vehicle rolled over the driver, who succumbed to his injuries at scene.  One passenger sustained minor injuries, and the other three passengers were non-injury.  The area where this occurred is BLM land and commonly used for off-road vehicles.  This Collision is still under investigation. Officer Hanson is the investigating Officer.
